For these grandchildren, Hollywood is a family affair.
"Nepo baby" is a ubiquitous term these days, but for some, celebrity runs generations deep.
Those third-generation big names include Billie Lourd — granddaughter of Debbie Reynolds — and Riley Keough, granddaughter of Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley and daughter of Lisa Marie Presley.
Take a look at some of these notable figures and the grandchildren who've followed in their famous footsteps.

Though she's often recognized for her six-year marriage to the King of Rock 'n' Roll (and turning his Tennessee estate into the iconic museum Graceland), Priscilla also gained renown as an actress. She played Jane Spencer in the Naked Gun trilogy and Jenna Wade on the soap opera Dallas, while also appearing in guest spots on shows like Melrose Place and Touched by an Angel.
Priscilla has four grandchildren: Riley, Benjamin Keough (who died by suicide at 27 in July 2020) and Finley and Harper Lockwood. Thus far, Riley is the only one who's followed her into the acting world.
After her first on-screen gig in 2010's The Runaways, Riley earned acclaim for her performance in 2016's American Honey and 2021's Zola, as well as on shows such as The Girlfriend Experience, The Terminal List, Daisy Jones & The Six (for which she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie) and Under the Bridge. Riley even stepped behind the camera and made her directorial debut with War Pony, which won the Caméra d'Or award at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

Drew Barrymore comes from a long lineage of Hollywood stars, including her grandmother, Dolores Costello, the "Goddess of the Silent Screen." Costello had notable roles in the filmsThe Sea Beast (1926), Noah's Ark (1928), Little Lord Fauntleroy (1936) and The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) before retiring in 1943.
"Ever since I could remember … somewhere around 3 years old, I felt this extraordinary responsibility, when I would watch my family's movies, to keep their name alive," Barrymore told PEOPLE in April 2024. "It helps me make sense of why I feel so magnetized to work in the field of film and television. I've got it in my jeans and my blood, and I've been lucky enough that this business would allow me to keep going."
Following in her family's footsteps, Barrymore has made a name for herself as an actress with iconic roles in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial(1982),Scream (1996), The Wedding Singer(1998), Charlie's Angels(2000) and its 2003 sequel and50 First Dates(2004). She hosts the daytime talk show The Drew Barrymore Show, which premiered in September 2020.

John F. Kennedy served in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate before becoming the youngest man elected as U.S. president. Though his term was cut short after his 1963 assassination, Kennedy's political legacy lives on through his only grandson, Jack Schlossberg.
Schlossberg earned an undergraduate degree from Yale before entering Harvard Law School in the fall of 2017 and Harvard Business School in the fall of 2018, graduating with both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration in February 2022. He passed the New York bar exam in April 2023.
He is currently running for election to the U.S. House to represent New York's 12th district.

Gregory Peck starred in classic films such as Roman Holiday (1953) and How the West Was Won (1962), and had an Academy Award-winning turn in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962). He passed on his acting chops to his grandson, Ethan Peck.
Among Ethan's roles was 2020's The Midnight Sky; he played a younger version of George Clooney's character Augustine Lofthouse.
"I think I had a full panic attack," Ethan told CBS' Watch! magazine in 2019 of landing the role. "I had to sit down on the curb, and I was in tears."
Ethan has also starred on the 2009 TV adaptation of the beloved 1999 teen film 10 Things I Hate About You as Patrick Verona and on Star Trek: Discoveryas Spock.

Kirk Douglas and Cameron Douglas

Born Issur Danielovitch, Kirk Douglas was a superstar actor, producer, director and philanthropist. He passed on his acting legacy to son Michael Douglas and grandson Cameron Douglas, Michael's son with ex-wife Diandra Luker. (Michael has been married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones since November 2000.)
In 2003, the three generations of Douglas men appeared together in the comedy-drama It Runs in the Family.
Cameron has also appeared in Adam & Eve (2005), Loaded (2008), The Runner (2021) and Looking Through Water (2025). In his 2019 memoir Long Way Home, he chronicled his journey to sobriety following drug addiction and eight years in prison.

Born Mary Frances Reynolds, the Hollywood icon had an incredible career in TV, movies and dance before she died on Dec. 28, 2016, one day after her daughter,Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, died at 60 after suffering a heart attack.
Lourd followed in her mother's footsteps by entering the Star Wars universe as Lieutenant Connix — she appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) — and donned Princess Leia-esque earmuffs as Chanel #3 on Scream Queens. Lourd also paid homage to her beloved grandmother by appearing on the Will & Grace rebootas the granddaughter of Reynolds' character Bobbi, the mother of Grace Adler (Debra Messing).

Tippi Hedren was a successful model before being discovered by legendary director Alfred Hitchcock and taking a stab at acting. She rose to fame leading his iconic thrillers The Birds (1963) and Marnie (1964).
In 1957, Hedren welcomed daughter Melanie Griffith, the star of films like Working Girl (1988) and Now and Then (1995), with then-husband Peter Griffith.
Melanie's daughter, Dakota Johnson, followed her grandmother and mother into the acting business. She started her career as a model before becoming a household name with the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, and she's gone on to star in The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), Persuasion (2022), Madame Web (2024) and Materialists (2025).
Dakota also co-founded the production company and curatorial platform TeaTime Pictures, which produced her films Cha Cha Real Smooth (2022), Am I Ok? (2022), Daddio (2023) and Splitsville (2025). She made her directorial debut with a music video for ex Chris Martin's band Coldplay in 2020 and directed the 2024 short film, Loser Baby.

The late Roxie Roker came to fame as Helen Willis on the classic CBS sitcom The Jeffersons. Her son, musician Lenny Kravitz, welcomed his daughter Zoë Kravitz with actress Lisa Bonet in 1988.
Zoë shares her family's talent for music and acting. She has been seen in films like Dope (2015), Mad Max: Fury Road(2015), Kimi (2022) and Caught Stealing (2025), starred on the award-winning HBO drama Big Little Lies, and played Catwoman in 2022's The Batman, though she's not expected to reprise her role in the 2027 sequel The Batman Part II, per Variety.

Zoë made her directorial debut with 2024's Blink Twice, which she starred in alongside ex-boyfriendChanning Tatum. In April 2026, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that she and singer Harry Stylesare engaged, eight months after they were first spotted together in Rome.

Samuel Goldwyn and Tony Goldwyn

Samuel Goldwyn was born Schmuel Gelbfisz in Poland in 1879 and went on to become one of Hollywood's most influential pioneers. From creating several studios — yes, he's the Goldwyn of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer — to producing dozens of award-winning films throughout his 40-plus-year career, Samuel was a key figure behind the scenes of the movie industry.
His grandson, Tony Goldwyn, has found success in acting. Following a string of appearances on series, including St. Elsewhere, Matlock andDesigning Women, he scored one of his first major roles in the 1990 movie Ghost. He went on to voice Tarzan in the beloved 1999 animated Disney film, play Fitzgerald Grant on the TV drama Scandal and join Law & Order in 2024 as District Attorney Nicholas Baxter (replacing Sam Waterson).
Tony's older daughter, Anna, also works in the industry, and his younger daughter, Tess, is an actress. Tony told PEOPLE in May 2024 that the family feels "lucky" to all work in the entertainment business.
"Because we know how lucky we are to have something, and a lot of people who do jobs that they're not passionate about may make a good living, but they kind of go, 'Ah, I hate my job,' " he said.

Blythe Danner and Apple Martin

Blythe Danner is an actress and producer, as well as the famous mom of Academy Award winner and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow. Paltrow shares two children with ex-husband Martin: daughter Apple and son Moses.
With Danner as her grandmother and Paltrow and Martin as parents, it stands to reason that Apple might have some influential aspirations of her own. The rising "It girl" has already made a name for herself in the fashion world after making her Paris Fashion Week debut in January 2023.
Apparently, Apple's trajectory was in the cards from the time she was a toddler. According to a post shared on Instagram by journalist Derek Blasberg alongside that Paris outing, "Karl Lagerfeld met Apple Martin when she was 4 years old and declared that one day she'd be a Chanel girl."

Paul Burke was best known for his roles as Adam Flint on the TV series Naked City, for which he earned two Emmy nominations, and as Joe Gallagher in 1949's 12 O'Clock High.
Alia Shawkat went on to follow in her grandfather's footsteps, landing memorable TV roles such as Maeby Fünke on Arrested Developmentand Dory on Search Party. She also joined the cast of Apple TV's Severancefor season 2, and appeared in films like Whip It (2009), Pee-wee's Big Holiday (2016) and Blink Twice (2024), and made multiple hilarious appearances on Drunk History.

The Maras are one of the most influential families in the NFL. Tim Mara, Wellington Mara's father, founded the New York Giants in 1925, and Wellington went on to become the team's co-owner until his death in October 2005.
Granddaughters Kate Mara and Rooney Mara turned to acting, making a name for themselves in Hollywood. Canadian actor Donald Sutherland — who died at age 88 in June 2024 — had a long and impressive career, racking up several film and TV credits and awards, as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Some of his best-known films include The Dirty Dozen (1967), M*A*S*H(1970), Klute (1971), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Ordinary People (1980) and The Hunger Games franchise.
He was also the father of actor Kiefer Sutherland — best known for his starring role as Jack Bauer on 24 — and grandfather to actress Sarah Sutherland, who played Catherine Meyer on HBO's Veep. She went on to star in The Kid Detective (2020) alongside Adam Brody and the 2021 indie film Like a House on Fire.

One half of the legendary comedy duo Bob and Ray, TV and radio star Bob Elliott rose to fame in Boston in the 1940s. He also appeared on shows like Newhart, Happy Days and Trapper John, M.D. His son Chris Elliott was also a comedy barnstormer, working on NBC's Late Night with David Letterman and starring on the cult sitcom Get a Life, on which Bob was a regular, as well as on Schitt's Creek and in 1998's There's Something About Mary.
Abby Elliott followed her dad and grandfather into comedy. She became the youngest female and first second-generation cast member of Saturday Night Livewhen she joined the sketch show in 2008. (Chris was on SNL for a single season in the mid-'90s.)
Her breakout role came as Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto onThe Bear. Before the FX hit, she also starred in 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and on the sitcoms Odd Mom Out and Indebted.

Tex Ritter and Jason Ritter

A country music star and actor, Tex Ritter was known as one of Hollywood's "singing cowboys." The Texas native worked on Broadway and radio programs, and scored hits like "Jealous Heart," "Rye Whiskey," "I'm Wastin' My Tears on You" and "(I Dreamed of a) Hillbilly Heaven."
His signature song was "High Noon (Do Not Forsake Me)," the Oscar-winning theme for 1952's High Noon, starring Gary Cooper. Tex was part of the early days of the Country Music Association, which led him to move to Nashville, where he co-hosted a late-night radio program and was part of the Grand Ole Opry.
Tex's son, John Ritter, was a huge name in TV, known especially for his physical comedy. He broke out as Jack Tripper on the ABC sitcom Three's Companyand voiced Clifford on Clifford the Big Red Dog. John was in the middle of filming the second season of 8 Simple Rules when he died at age 54 in September 2003.
The Ritter Hollywood legacy has continued with Tex's grandson and John's son, Jason Ritter. Jason gained early recognition on CBS' Joan of Arcadia and in 2003's Freddy vs. Jason before starring on Netflix's Raising Dion and the Matlock reboot. He also voiced Dipper Pines on Disney's popular animated series Gravity Falls and Ryder in 2019's Frozen 2. Jason earned an Emmy nod for his work on NBC's Parenthood.
