Seven years ago, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber said “I do” — for the second time.
On Sept. 30, 2019, the couple celebrated their marriage with a lavish wedding at the Montage Palmetto Bluff luxury resort in Bluffton, S.C., surrounded by 154 of their friends and family. Hailey’s father, Stephen Baldwin, walked her down the aisle as she wore a custom Off-White gown designed by the late Virgil Abloh.
The star-studded celebration wasn’t actually the Biebers’ first trip down the aisle. Justin and Hailey had quietly tied the knot at a New York City courthouse a year earlier, in September 2018. Although they were already legally married, having a wedding rooted in their faith remained important to Justin and Hailey.
“It was all flawless and absolutely magical. They were thrilled to have their families and friends in South Carolina. It meant more than they imagined,” a source told PEOPLE in October 2019. “Although they were already married, their religious wedding ceremony was very important. It now feels more official for them.”
Justin and Hailey have since renewed their vows. In May 2024, the couple announced they were expecting their first child by sharing a carousel of images and videos of their vow renewal in Hawaii. The Biebers welcomed their son, Jack Blues Bieber, in August of that same year.
From the guest list to the Swarovski champagne bottles, here’s a look back on Justin and Hailey Bieber’s wedding.

The Biebers hosted their wedding weekend at Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina. The evening before the ceremony, Justin and Hailey hosted a rehearsal dinner for close friends and family at the resort’s Moreland Landing. Guests were transported to the event via speedboats, where they enjoyed local cuisine and bowling.
“Justin and Hailey took a speedboat down the river to the rehearsal dinner. They both seemed beyond excited,” an insider told PEOPLE at the time. “Hailey looked stunning in a short, white dress. They enjoyed local food, including an oyster roast.”
For the pre-wedding bash, Hailey stunned in a corseted ivory mini dress by Vivienne Westwood. She accessorized the custom look with matching ivory stilettos with bows wrapped around each ankle, a 20.3-carat diamond pendant Messika necklace and diamond stud earrings. Justin coordinated with his bride-to-be by wearing a white collared Lacoste shirt, black slacks and boat shoes.

On Sept. 30, 2019, Justin and Hailey were married in a religious ceremony at the Somerset Chapel at the Montage Palmetto Bluff. As a string quartet played, Hailey was escorted down the aisle by her father, Baldwin. The couple recited their vows underneath a white flower arch and exchanged Tiffany & Co. bands.
In episode eight of Justin Bieber: Seasons, the pair gave fans a glimpse into their intimate ceremony. Footage showed Justin messing up the words of his vows several times, but Hailey said in the video that despite any mishaps, the events of the day were “meant to be.”
“Everything happened the exact way it was supposed to, I really believe that,” she said. “Even all the little mishaps that might’ve happened and us stumbling over our words, whatever it was, I think that it was so meant to be.”
As for the small ceremony, Hailey shared, “We kept it really small because it makes it so much more fun. And the little things that I was worried about, none of that energy got brought into the actual day.”
They had a star-studded guest list

Hailey and Justin’s second wedding was a star-studded event. Among the 154 guests were Hailey’s father Stephen, mother Kennya Baldwin, sister Alaia Baldwin and cousin Ireland Baldwin, as well as Justin’s parents, Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber.

Other guests included Justin’s longtime manager Scooter Braun, Kylie Jenner, Camila Morrone, Kendall Jenner, Jaden Smith, Usher, Kris Jenner, Justine Skye and Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney of country duo Dan + Shay.
While their guest list was filled with celebrity friends, Hailey shared in episode seven of Justin Bieber: Seasons that she and Justin only invited those who were a part of their journey as a couple.
“We just decided that smaller and intimate was gonna be the better situation for the two of us because we wanted people who had been very super involved in the journey and who were still super involved in our life currently, and who are still part of our day to day lives right now,” she said.

Hailey walked down the aisle in a custom Off-White wedding gown designed by the late Virgil Abloh, a close friend of hers. The backless dress featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, a fishtail-style skirt, long sleeves and a lace train. Abloh also incorporated the Off-White logo into the dress and used pearls to spell out the words “wedding dress” along the back of the gown.
Hailey completed her bridal look with a custom veil embroidered with the phrase “Till Death Do Us Part” and Minny heels from Jimmy Choo. In 2019, the model told Vogue during her final dress fitting that she knew she wanted Abloh to design her ceremony look “from day one.”
“I didn’t want somebody who was a wedding dress designer,” she said. “I just feel like my style and my street style is such a part of who I am. Virgil has kind of always just been in my corner since the beginning.”
Hailey also shared that she was heavily involved in the design process. “I was specific on the sleeves. I knew I wanted them to be long onto my hands. I knew I wanted this silhouette. I knew I wanted my back to be showing,” she said.
Guests were gifted crystal-covered champagne bottles
Following the ceremony, guests were escorted to a cocktail hour before being seated for a plated dinner at the Wilson Ballroom at the Montage Palmetto Bluff for the formal reception. The long white dinner tables were decorated with candles and neutral floral arrangements from Mark’s Garden. The reception décor also included a canopy of greenery, which hung over the tables with subtle drop lights made by Technical Event Company.
In addition to a photo booth, guests enjoyed Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut in customized bottles made with 9,682 Swarovski crystals. Justin and Hailey could also be seen cutting a five-tier white wedding cake in episode eight of Justin Bieber: Seasons, which included figurines of the pair as a cake topper.

There were several musical performances at the reception, including a surprise serenade by Justin himself. Daniel Caesar performed three songs at the bash, including his hit “Best Part,” while Dan + Shay sang their track “10,000 Hours,” which features Justin. Later on in the night, Justin grabbed the mic to serenade his wife with a rendition of “One Less Lonely Girl.”
“We were at the wedding and realized that I had never been a ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ that got sang to, so everybody insisted that I get brought up on stage,” Hailey said in Justin Bieber: Seasons. “I was, like, giddy, like as if it was really happening onstage and it was just so silly and cute.”

Hailey changed into two other dresses for her wedding reception. The first was a custom Rich & Russo silk gown with a halter neckline and a thigh-high slit. She paired the dress with a leather motorcycle jacket from Celine, which was embroidered with the word “Wife.”
Later in the night, the model swapped her halter gown for a white slip dress designed by Vera Wang, which featured a mermaid silhouette, criss-cross straps and a single-shoulder cowl detail. Hailey accessorized this look with white sneakers for a more comfortable wedding outfit.
”This was [definitely] more of the party dress. They were much more open to something seductive, light and sensual [for this look],” Wang told Vogue of the dress design. “The wedding dress had a certain formality to it. This was meant to be the complete opposite. I love using the dancer reference with this because when I see her I sort of see a ballerina.”
