Chloe Bailey is opening up about the body part she's most self-conscious about — and the fitness goal she's been working toward this summer.
The Grammy-nominated singer and actress, 27, shared during a recent PEOPLE in 10 interview that she's been “focusing on her arms” lately.
“You know, as a woman, we all have an insecurity … that one little body part,” explained Bailey, who is set to star in the upcoming psychological thriller Strung.
“I am a Georgia peach ... I love when my gains go to my lower body, but [it also goes to my arms],” she added. “So I said, 'You know what? I'm gonna get these [arms] real ripped and toned.' "
The "Have Mercy" singer went on to say that she's been seeing her hard work in the gym pay off.
“I'm like, ‘Yes!' I see back muscles. I see arm muscles! When I'm at the airport and putting my carry-on at the top, I'm not struggling. A man's like, ‘You need help?' I'm like, ‘No!' ” she told PEOPLE.
The Grown-ish star has opened up about body image in the past, specifically sharing that online trolls used to get her down.
"I've been like, really insecure for a long time, and I'm finally at that place where I have self-confidence," Bailey told Taraji P. Henson during a 2022 appearance on her Facebook Watch show, Peace of Mind with Taraji.

"I think there was a collective of [online comments], and I can't sit here and lie and say, 'Oh, I'm bulletproof, nothing hurt me,' because it honestly did," she said. "And I think what hurt me the most was when I would see some post saying how I'm doing this for male attention, or I'm just trying to sell sex to get attention for myself."
"And at first, I was really getting sad about it," she continued. "But then I thought, 'Why would I let that control my thoughts and feelings when I know it's a lie?' So I kind of had to give it not so much power. I'm not doing anything crazy. I'm just loving and appreciating my body, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that."

Bailey told Henson, 55, that she had struggled with body confidence since she was a child.
“Ever since I was a little girl, I've always been curvy, to the point where sometimes it was my biggest insecurity," she said.
However, Bailey said that — with time — she has learned to love and genuinely accept herself.
"As I've gotten older, I have learned to really appreciate my curves. I love my stretch marks. Every time I have a photo shoot, I'm like, 'No, don't airbrush the stretch marks 'cause I like them,' " she explained.
“I used to think that I wasn't very strong. But I've learned that I'm a pretty strong woman," Bailey continued during the Facebook Watch episode.
"I've learned to say no to things that I don't agree with, I'm learning to find my own voice, and it is so powerful and liberating. And it's only going to get stronger and louder,” she added at the time.
