Williams applauded her costar, Jaleel White, for the work he put into crafting the iconic Steve Urkel character. The conversation began with a discussion of the series finale of the show, which saw Williams' Laura Winslow get engaged to Urkel. Asked if she thought the two got married, she confirmed she thinks they did.
"People don't they don't understand how talented... I mean, the amount of work, the dedication, the level of detail that he just, the amount of character work that he did on that character was insane. People will never know how good it was," she said.
Hopkins and host Christine Taylor applauded Williams for "holding her own opposite" White, developing the dynamic between Laura and Urkel over nine seasons.
"He was giving a lot. So you eat off of that and he's really dope in that way," Williams said.
Williams and Hopkins are currently hosting a rewatch podcast, Welcome to the Family, dedicated to all things Family Matters.
