Nilsa Prowant is responding to critics of her pregnancy announcement.

The Floribama Shore alum, 32, clapped back at people who criticized her for announcing her pregnancy "too early," despite her refraining from releasing her due date or how far along she is. In the caption for her Instagram post, Prowant explained what she learned after experiencing a miscarriage and a high-risk pregnancy."I’ve suffered a miscarriage, and after that experienced a high-risk pregnancy. I’ve learned there is no 'right' timeline to share news like this," she began. "Every pregnancy is different, every family’s comfort level is different, and all pregnancies deserve to be celebrated."

"One thing I’ve learned is that telling women they shouldn’t announce 'too early' can unintentionally send the message that if something goes wrong, they should grieve quietly. I don’t believe that," Prowant added. "Pregnancy loss isn’t something anyone should have to hide or carry alone. Whether someone shares at 6 weeks or 26 weeks is a deeply personal decision, and every family deserves the freedom to make that choice without judgment."

"I chose to share when it felt right for me. If, heaven forbid, something were to happen, (I’ve literally had people say well i really hope it’s healthy..) I wouldn’t want to go through that silently anyway," she continued. "You guys have been on this journey with me and I wanted to share this miracle with you guys ❤️ Sharing my joy doesn’t make me naïve I know the risks that come with pregnancy, I’ve lived it."

"But, i am also choosing to keep certain details, like my due date and exactly how far along I am, private…I’m sure you guys understand. ❤️" Prowant concluded. "love you guys and thank you to everyone who has prayed over us to make this miracle happen ✨."

Prowant first announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Saturday, June 13, sharing a compilation of videos of the soon-to-be family of four on the beach.

In one clip, Prowant pulled a sonogram from a picnic basket to show the couple's 5-year-old son, Gray, and he later kissed it. In another clip, the expectant mom and Gazda, 38, posed next to writing in the sand that reads, “Baby #2.” At one point, she wrote the same thing on a mirror with a marker.

Prowant later decorated the mirror with the sonogram photo, a pair of white baby shoes, a stuffed teddy bear and a onesie that read, “Hello baby.”

“Blessed beyond measure,” she wrote alongside the announcement video with a red heart emoji.

The expectant mom, who describes herself as a “retired reality TV girly,” also shared several more posts about the family's big news — including a video highlighting the difficulties of the process.

She shared some more snapshots from the family of three's beach photo shoot, which she captioned, “After all the waiting, all the hoping, and all the prayers… our missing piece is finally on the way.”

Later, she posted a compilation of videos of herself reacting to a series of negative pregnancy tests. In several clips, she first showed the camera the negative test results before reacting, often sighing, frowning or otherwise showing her disappointment. “And we want to complete our family with one more child… So it's worth a try,” she wrote in text over the compilation.

Then, at the very end, Prowant replaced the clips with a video from the baby announcement. “Keep your head up darlin',” she captioned the candid video.

Prowant also shared a bit more about her pregnancy on Instagram Stories — including how she told her friend and Floribama Shore costar Aimee Elizabeth Hall the big news.

After someone asked her via an Instagram Stories questionnaire how she relayed her pregnancy to her fellow reality TV alum, she revealed that she FaceTimed her.

“I tried to wait to tell her in person but I couldn't keep it a secret because we talk every day," she wrote of Hall, 33.

Prowant starred in all four seasons of Floribama Shore from 2017 through 2021, announcing her first pregnancy in the final season. She and Gazda made their relationship Instagram official in late 2019, and Gazda proposed to Prowant in January 2021.

Gray was born in May of that year, and the couple said “I do” months later, in November 2021.
