Natalie Ng Man-yan, an actress and former Miss Hong Kong, died on Tuesday, June 9, after sharing her journey with breast cancer
The 51-year-old former beauty queen shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, regularly updating her social media followers about the progression of the disease and her treatment plan
Ng's family wrote in their tribute post that she had been "strong and brave" amid her diagnosis and "did a lot of things she did not think of, realized a lot of dreams, and at the same time her positive energy has also infected many fellow travellers to face the disease together"
Natalie Ng Man-yan, an actress and former Miss Hong Kong, died on Tuesday, June 9, after sharing her journey with breast cancer. She was 51.
Ng's family confirmed the news of her death in a post to her Instagram account, writing in a June 9 post, "It is with sadness and dedication that we tell you that Nat passed away peacefully in a hospital sleep this morning. Natalie was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night, family and best friends have come to visit in the last days, two aunts have said goodbye to mother, there are also a priest to anoint her, we believe she is with blessings and love, safe to leave, back to the arms of the Father."

The beauty queen had first shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, regularly updating her social media followers about the progression of the disease and her treatment plan.
In April, she shared an update on Facebook that her medications were causing her to feel very sick — but added that she was able to spend the evening enjoying a concert that reminded her of "memories as a teenager."

In their tribute post, Ng's family wrote that she had been "strong and brave" amid her diagnosis and "did a lot of things she did not think of, realized a lot of dreams, and at the same time her positive energy has also infected many fellow travellers to face the disease together."
