Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition Announced With New Content, Price, & PS5 Release Date

Sucker Punch Productions has announced Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, adding new content to the open-world action game on PS5. The new edition wll arrive just in time for the game’s first anniversary, with a new expansion, a new game mode, and other quality-of-life updates. The announcement comes five months after the launch of Ghost of Yōtei: Legends, the multiplayer game mode.
The first new addition is the narrative expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara. The expansion will follow two timelines split between the past and the present. In the past, players will experience moments from Atsu’s time in the Battle of Sekigahara before the events of the main game. In the present, Atsu will be visited by Nagato, a figure from Atsu’s past. The expansion will include a new map, new enemies, new weapons, dyes, and more.
The second major addition is Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted, a single-player combat survival mode. In it, players will embark on a roguelike adventure as they take on several bounties, earn perks, and unlock additional playable characters. These include Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato.

Those who want to download the new content without wanting to buy the new edition can purchase the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99. Those who pre-order the complete edition before September 30, 2026, will also get the early unlock of the Sakai Armor on October 1, 2026. Pre-ordering the complete edition also grants players access to the base game and Legends immediately, with the new content going live on October 1, 2026.
Sucker Punch is also adding a new Beauty of Yōtei mode, which shows a “screensaver-like view” of Edo’s environments. This new mode will be added to the game at no extra cost for existing players.
