Gwyneth Paltrow says she would "never" desecrate the on-screen kiss location she shared with Ethan Hawke in 1998’s Great Expectations by filming another kissing scene in the same spot.

The Oscar winner, 53, was interviewed by her former co-star Hawke in a video filmed for Vanity Fair, in which he said he had "one selfish question" to ask the actress about her new film, Marty Supreme.

In the new film, Hawke, 55, noted that Paltrow kisses co-star Timothée Chalamet in Central Park.

"Did you shoot in Central Park?" Hawke asked, to which Paltrow replied, "Yes."

"Did you kiss him in the same place you kissed me?" Hawke then asked, nodding to a scene in Great Expectations in which the two kiss at a water fountain in the New York park.

"No. Honey, never," Paltrow replied, to which Hawke interjected, "I think it's the same damn location."

"Never," Paltrow added. "I never would have done that. I never would have desecrated our make-out spot like that.

Paltrow played Estella in the New York-set 1998 romantic drama, directed by Alfonso Cuarón and written by Mitch Glazer. The movie was an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations. Ethan Hawke starred as Finnegan “Finn” Bell, a naïve young man who falls for Estella.

In her forthcoming ping-pong-centric film, the actress plays love interest Kay Stone opposite Chalamet's Marty Mauser.

It is Paltrow's first film since 2019's Avengers: Endgame and also features also features Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher.

In the film's trailer, Chalamet as lead character Marty is shown calling Paltrow's character on the phone from a hotel at the beginning of the trailer and telling her that he believes he is "the chosen one."

The trailer, set to Alphaville's 1984 hit "Forever Young," showcases Chalamet's character as he sets out to become a worldwide sensation in table tennis.

The movie is directed by Josh Safdie (Uncut Gems) with A24's official synopsis reading: "Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness."

Marty Supreme is in theaters Dec. 25
