"*13 Going on 30 *is one of those rare, perfect films. Funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, and Judy Greer," Haley said in a statement. Jennifer Garner being on board as an executive producer, after playing such a big part of what made the original special, is especially meaningful."

He added, "I also couldn't be more excited to reunite with Emily Bader after *People We Meet on Vacation*. She and the amazingly talented Logan Lerman are a magical pairing. I feel incredibly lucky to be trusted with something that means so much to so many people."

The beloved rom-com directed by Gary Winick originally debuted in theaters on April 23, 2004. It follows a girl in 1987 (Christa B. Allen) who wishes to be "30, flirty, and thriving" on her 13th birthday, and wakes up the next day as her 30-year-old self (Garner) in 2004. Ruffalo plays the protagonist's childhood best friend who becomes her love interest over the course of the movie, while Judy Greer plays her childhood frenemy-turned-adult-friend (but actually still frenemy) Lucy. The film was a hit at the box office and a massive success on home video in the following years.

Garner recently exec-produced a stage musical adaptation, directed by Andy Fickman, which had a world premiere at the Manchester Opera House last September.
