NEW YORK ‒ In a room full of KatyCats, Justin Trudeau will always be Katy Perry's No. 1 fan.
The former Canadian prime minister stepped out with his megastar girlfriend June 8 at the Tribeca Festival premiere of "Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour - Live from Paris," a concert film of her most recent global jaunt.
Throughout the two-hour movie, Trudeau was spotted nodding along to Perry's buoyant yet emotional "All the Love," and casually dancing next to her during a crowd singalong of her chart-topping earworm "Firework."
At one point, the power went out mid-song and fans continued to sing "Crush." As Perry stood up and took in the crowd's impromptu performance, Trudeau could be seen clapping and laughing as he looked up at her, appearing to reach out and hold her hand.
At the end of the movie, as Perry quite literally climbed up onto the stage for a Q&A, Trudeau warmly smiled and joined the audience for a standing ovation.
Perry, 41, and Trudeau, 54, first sparked dating rumors last July, roughly a month after she and actor Orlando Bloom ended their engagement following nine years together. The Grammy nominee shares daughter Daisy, 5, with Bloom.

Onstage after the screening, Perry opened up about her relationship with Trudeau, as well as her personal growth since her roughly nine-month Lifetimes tour trek.
"Now, at the end of 91 shows, I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love," Perry said with a grin, looking over to Trudeau as the crowd cheered. She was first spotted having dinner with the politician in Montreal last July while she was in Canada for her Lifetimes tour.

"I met the love of my life, so I felt very anchored by that," the singer recalled. "I'm a little bit like a rainbow kite: I fly super high … and sometimes I need to be anchored. So to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now."
She also alluded to her breakup from Bloom, saying how in her 40s, she's learned to better process difficult emotions and experiences.
"We're all human here," Perry said. "Grief doesn't discriminate. Pain doesn't discriminate. Everyone is subjected to it in their own ways. The last year was probably one of the hardest years of my life, and I went through a f--- ton. There were days that were really, really hard, but I just kept going because I made a promise to my fans. I made a promise to my daughter. I made a promise to myself, and I got through it.
"I walked through the fire," Perry continued. "And if you're walking through hell, you keep going. Because on the other side of hell, there's definitely heaven," she said, turning once again to look at Trudeau as the audience applauded.

Later in the Q&A, Perry was probed with fan questions about the set list of her upcoming festival run, as well as her recent link-up with rapper Chief Keef on a "Legendary Lovers" remix following their 2013 "feud" on social media.
"I feel like something has shifted inside of me," Perry said. "I feel like everything has a season, everything has a time. At 41, I'm trying all different things, and have had so many privileges and checked so many boxes and goals. I mean, how do I climb Everest? I don't need to climb it again. But I will climb other mountains, and sometimes those mountains are just taking my daughter to school on a bicycle."

Speaking of her daughter, Perry opened up about taking Daisy along for her first global tour.
"She tells me exactly what she thinks," Perry said. "As mothers and fathers, we're just modeling something to our children. All we can hope for is that they will grow up into better versions of ourselves and themselves, So if I'm out there living my most authentic, empowered, smart, sexy life, she's gonna have a model to follow. And any parent can do that. It's really valuable to bring your kids to work."
