Kylie Minogue is reflecting on her performing live with Madonna.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the "XMAS" musician, 57, opened up about her experience performing with the "Hung Up" hitmaker, 67, in March 2024 during the Celebration Tour and if they might collaborate in the future.

"That was an incredible night and an incredible moment," Minogue says of the show, which took place in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum. "And a lot of people had been waiting a long time, probably including us, but I thought that was just perfect."

The "Can't Get You Out of My Head" hitmaker enjoyed the fact that it was a "humble moment" for her and the "icon."

"It wasn't a big choreography," Minogue says of their onstage appearance. "It was just two performers, two women, two people that, without having to say much, you can understand some of each other's journeys."

For Minogue, the experience for her and Madonna was them "wanting to lift each other up and celebrate each other."

The Melbourne native recalls having "furious friends" who wondered why she didn't tell them she would be the surprise guest at Madonna's show.

"I said, 'It was a surprise.' I just didn't tell anyone," says Minogue.

When asked if the "Padam Padam" artist had discussed a potential future collaboration with the "Frozen" singer, she said they hadn't spoken about it."But obviously I would [collaborate with Madonna]," says Minogue. "So, there's been no discussion, but if it were to happen, that would be great."

In May 2024, Minogue and Madonna teamed up for the first time ever to perform two songs together.

"On the subject of survival, I would like to introduce a very special guest who's going to come up here and sing with me. Her name is Kylie Minogue," Madonna told the crowd at the time, as Minogue appeared onstage to hug the show's headliner in fan-captured footage. "Now this is what we call a survivor, okay?"

The Material Girl continued, "I'm falling apart. Anyway, it's a privilege for me to be up here singing with you. You are a fighter, too. God bless you. Never give up. You never did."

After Minogue told the audience that she felt "amazing," she addressed how special their onstage collaboration was to her.

"This moment has been a long, long, long, long time coming," she said, before Madonna teased that they hadn't appeared onstage together before because "Australia's far."

Together, the pop legends performed a theatrical, stripped-down rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive, per footage from the venue posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The duo also performed Minogue’s 2001 hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head" a cappella, per footage from Kia Forum on X.
