Larry Birkhead clarified that his Instagram handle implies a joint account with Dannielynn but is actually his alone
Dannielynn, 19, has her own private social media account that Birkhead does not know or follow
Birkhead uses the account to share proud dad moments but avoids overposting to prevent embarrassing his daughter
Larry Birkhead's joint Instagram with his daughter isn't actually shared between the two of them.
While appearing on Bunnie XO's podcast Dumb Blonde, the proud dad, 53, spoke about his Instagram account, which is under the handle @larryanddannielynn. During the episode, Birkhead clarified that although the username implies it's a joint account, his daughter Dannielynn, 19, actually has her own social media.
"So my Instagram is @larryanddannielynn, and there's a caveat there that people [are] like, 'Why doesn't her have her own social media?' " said Birkhead. "So she has her own social media. I don't know if I even know it or follow her."

"I let her have that to herself," he explained. "She didn't want people to judge what she put down and all that stuff."

"Our daughter has a...we call it a Finsta. So she has her own little Finsta that nobody else is allowed on," added Bunnie.
Birkhead said he doesn't even know his daughter's account and that the username was just something he quickly picked since his name and Dannielynn's name were already taken.
"I was like, let me just pick this. So people think that it's our joint thing, and it's not," he shared. "And I don't post much, but I post like proud dad moments, and I post that there's something to say, but yeah. That's the social media, which I'm really bad at and she reminds me."
"She's like, 'Dad, you're hashtagging too much, you're doing this, nobody does that,'" Birkhead said of Dannielynn. "So I try to stay off of it because I don't wanna embarrass her."
Birkhead shares Dannielynn with the late actress Anna Nicole Smith.
