- LeAnn Rimes is responding to trolls questioning the validity of her deep jaw release video.
- Last month, the singer shared footage of her sobbing after getting the tension-relieving treatment.
- Now Rimes insists there's "no pretense" to the way she presents herself online.
LeAnn Rimes is setting the record straight about her viral deep jaw release video.
Last month, the "How Do I Live" singer shared footage of an intense procedure meant to relieve tension in her jaw. In the video, posted by fascial maneuver provider Human Garage, Rimes sobs tears of relief — a moment that some viewers found hard to believe.
Now, Rimes is clapping back at those questioning her honesty.
"The people were commenting on [the post], being [like], 'Of course the camera was on, she was gonna cry,'" the singer complained in an April 18 livestream with Human Garage founder Garry Lineham.
"I'm like, 'I can act, but I am not that good,'" Rimes continued with a laugh. "I am not that good. I'm not Meryl Streep."

She continued, ""That's just real, and I feel like the older I get, and it's been probably the last decade of my life, I feel like the more honest I can be. People finally get to see me, and there's no pretense about that."
Among those who criticized the video were *Real Housewives of Beverly Hills* alum Brandi Glanville, who called the footage "weird," noting that she herself has had the procedure done "a million times."
"I just don't know why you share that," Glanville complained on an April episode of her podcast.
In the original March 29 video, Rimes is shown lying on her back as she prepares to undergo the deep jaw release technique, in which the body's connective tissue (or fascia) is manipulated to release tension. Lineham, who is largely off-camera, puts his hands in her mouth to realign her jaw as a fellow practitioner holds her head still.
After Lineham pulls his hand away, Rimes immediately lets out sobs of relief.

A few moments later, Lineham instructs her, "Say 'that part of my life is over.'"
The singer replies, "That part of my life better be over. Oh, my god. You just don't realize how much tension is in there." Lineham chimes in, "Until it's gone."
Elsewhere in the April 18 livestream, Rimes said that the jaw release therapy was just one of many techniques that she has recently turned to in her health and wellness journey.

"I'm starting to see new things show up in my body," she explained. "And so I want to be able to maintain a level of performance on stage, a level of health and wellness in my own personal life and a sense of ease in my body."

Rimes previously opened up about her struggles with fascia tension in a March 23 Instagram post, writing, "For as long as I can remember, my body has held tension like it's been bracing for something…. It's never really let go. And as someone whose voice is literally my instrument, that kind of tightness doesn't just live in my body; it shows up in how I breathe, how I express, how freely I can sing."
She added that taking care of herself in new ways had allowed her to experience "a level of freedom and openness in my body that I haven't felt in a long time."
