The Los Angeles Lakers player, 40, opened up about a particular fictional character's fashion choices that he enjoyed on TV when speaking with Melody Ehsani, a designer and entrepreneur who founded the sport lifestyle brand of the same name.

During the conversation, Ehsani asked James to name his favorite TV show. His answer was heavily influenced by the lead character's sense of style and personality, he told the host.

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," he revealed during their chat, which aired during episode 3 of Uninterrupted's The Main Thing on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

"I used to get excited about what Will Smith was wearing on the show," the basketball star recalled. "You know, from the baggy jackets to what shoes he was wearing. The matching tie-dye outfits, you know, with the shorts and the T-shirt."

"He used to wear the nice trucker hats," James said, noting, "And either flip up the brim or turn it backwards."

Smith played a fictionalized version of himself on the long-running American sitcom, which aired on NBC from Sept. 10, 1990, to May 20, 1996. His character of the same name was a street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia, where he was born and raised.

"I just thought he was cool because he was like an inner-city kid in Beverly Hills like acting a fool, being himself — and they had to accept him for who he was," James added of Smith.

The NBA star's praise of the Fresh Prince's sense of style is noteworthy, given his personal fashion flair. He's notably turned heads in the style scene for his tunnel walk looks before games and his buttoned-up red carpet aesthetic.

Recently, James made a fashion-forward statement when he whipped out a pink Labubu on Kai Cenat's stream on Sept. 30.

"I think I brought something good in my bag... I brought my LV bag with my little Labubu," the basketball icon told the content creator phenom of his coveted bag charm accessory — that's been taking the fashion world by storm — in the clip that's since gone viral on social media.

The pink fuzzy monster creature was seen dangling from James' black bag.

"Okay! Okay!" Cenat excitedly replied to the Lakers forward, hyping up his fashion-forward choices, which he called out during the stream.

James' 10-year-old daughter, Zhuri James, who joined her dad for the stream — along with Cenat's friends — can be heard echoing her dad after he made mention of the keychain.

"My Labubu," she says, to which James repeats it back to her in a silly voice.

James shares Zhuri with his wife, Savannah James. They are also parents of sons LeBron "Bronny" James Jr., 20, and Bryce Maximus, 17.
