Legal expert says Taylor Swift wedding guests who violated their NDAs could face major consequences

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding guests may not face an automatic cash penalty if they break the couple’s alleged nondisclosure agreement, but a leak could still carry legal and personal consequences.
The NDA reportedly sent to Travis and Taylor's wedding guests did not include a set monetary punishment, according to TMZ. That does not mean the agreement is powerless. A person accused of violating it could still face a breach-of-contract claim if the couple could show the agreement was enforceable, the guest broke its terms, and the disclosure caused measurable harm.
This comes after Taylor Swift's 'uncouth' wedding move that turned the extravagant event into 'a circus' was revealed after the Fourth of July wedding at Madison Square Garden.

"The absence of a fixed penalty does not give a guest permission to ignore the agreement. It means the party enforcing it may have to prove what damage the disclosure caused instead of pointing to a dollar amount already written into the contract," a legal expert told The Mirror US.
An enforcing party could also ask a court to block further disclosure if photos, video, or private details had not yet been widely released. The result would depend on the wording of the NDA and the circumstances.

"The fastest response may not be a lawsuit seeking millions of dollars. It could be a demand to remove the material, return private documents, or stop additional information from being published."
Sources familiar with the event said the save-the-date notice was designed to prevent details from spreading. “The save the date was sent electronically, and guests had to agree to an NDA before they could see any details," one source said.
Another insider said the invitations were sent electronically, "and included guests' names so those who were on the guest list wouldn't make the invites public." The reported security measures also included individualized watermarks containing each guest’s first and last name, making it easier to trace a leaked invitation.
Guests could face consequences outside court, including losing access to celebrations or damaging their relationship with the couple.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, have not publicly confirmed the reported wedding details. Guests were reportedly told only to travel to New York City, while the exact venue was withheld.
"Taylor and Travis told guests to be in NYC. No other location was provided," a source said. "They’re putting their guests on hold for a couple of days. They are spending a lot of money – in the millions." The couple reportedly considered Rhode Island before shifting their plans due to security concerns.
"Rhode Island wasn’t great because the nature of the access and the perimeters were too difficult to secure," a source said. "So the main issue with Rhode Island ended up being security."
