Lily Allen isn't trying to mislead anyone with her current tour.
The British singer-songwriter has been on tour since March with shows billed as Lily Allen Performs West End Girl, which feature the artist singing all 14 tracks from her latest album, West End Girl, and acting them out as a one-woman theatrical experience. This week, she hit back at critics of the show on social media.
After a few months of performing the approximately 1-hour-long show in theaters throughout Europe and North America, Allen brought the tour to arenas earlier this month. Someone who attended one of the "Madeline" musician's two tour dates at London's O2 Arena this week critiqued the show in a social media post on Monday, June 29.

The attendee claimed the show featured "no support act" featured less than an hour of Allen performing, during which she said "not one word to the audience." The concertgoer also noted that tickets costed "Ā£86 to sit in the gods."
In a follow-up post, the fan added, "To be clear because this is obviously framed in a negative way (my fault). The performance was brilliant ā but it canāt be right to charge that much for an hour, late on Sunday night."
Allen responded to the post later the same day. "There is a support act," she began, referring to the Dallas Minor Trio, a three-piece orchestra named after the West End Girl track "Dallas Major" that performs renditions of the Grammy-nominated star's hit songs including "The Fear," "Hard Out Here," "Smile" and "F--- You" before she hits the stage.

"The show has always been advertised as 'Lily Allen performs West End Girl,'" said Allen, explaining that the O2 Arena show started "a few mins late as my tights were laddered and i had to change them."
"The show is just over an hour as itās just the album in its entirety," added Allen, whose West End Girl album runs for 44 minutes āĀ but the live show's theatrical elements extend its duration, as she acts out the breakup record's lyrical themes.
As for why she doesn't speak to the audience during her shows, Allen claimed it's an "artistic choice" and that "the fourth wall helps with the storytelling."
"Most people find it to be effective," she said.
Allen concluded, "I donāt want anyone to feel ripped off, Everyone on this tour is really working very hard to give people the best show we possibly can, and iām extremely proud of it."
The tour continues through November with arena dates in Europe, North America and Oceania.
West End Girl was released in October 2025. The project received critical acclaim and reached No. 2 in Allen's native U.K. as well as No. 93 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
