Matt Damon knows exactly what song he's picking when it's his turn at karaoke.

"I always go with 'Sweet Caroline,' " the actor revealed on a June 15 episode of Are You Okay?. "It gets everybody singing along."

For the Boston-born star, 55, the choice is hardly surprising. The Neil Diamond classic has become an unofficial anthem in Boston sports culture, making it a natural crowd-pleaser for Damon.

The actor is currently promoting Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic The Odyssey, in which he stars as lead Odysseus. Based on Homer's ancient Greek poem, the film follows the legendary king's perilous journey home after the Trojan War, facing mythical creatures, vengeful gods and seemingly impossible odds along the way. The star-studded cast also includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o and Robert Pattinson.

Back on the karaoke stage, however, Damon is keeping expectations in check. When asked whether he considers himself a good singer, the Oscar winner laughed.

"I mean, I can sing 'Sweet Caroline,' " Damon said.

"Listen, it's not the easiest song," host Bri Morales joked. "There are words in it."

"There are words," Damon replied.

While Damon may not be launching a music career anytime soon, he has been willing to do some unusual things in the name of a good cause. During the interview, when asked what he's not ashamed to admit, he quickly answered that he'd do "pretty much anything" to promote Water.org, the nonprofit organization he co-founded.

That includes once "pouring toilet water" over his head to help raise awareness for the global water crisis.

He's even tried his hand at rap when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 9 to perform as his alter-ego The Nomad (which is his last name spelled backwards).

During his interview with Are You Okay?, Damon joked that his rap career had an extremely short shelf life.

"We started last week. It's already over," he said. "It was pretty terrible."

The conversation ended on a more serious note when Damon was asked what he thinks society should normalize.

"Kindness," he said. "I'm serious. Like, not niceness, genuinely understanding that we're all in this together and we're a lot less divided than we think."

The Odyssey is in theaters July 17.
