Get ready for a football tripleheader on Christmas Day 2025.

On Dec. 25, six NFL teams will face off against each other, so you’ll have plenty of football to watch through the day between opening presents and spending time with loved ones.

The day kicks off with the Dallas Cowboys (6-8-1) vs. the Washington Commanders (4-11), followed by the Detroit Lions (8-7) vs. the Minnesota Vikings (7-8). The Denver Broncos (12-3) and the Kansas City Chiefs (6-9) will play the final game of the day.

In addition to the games, expect musical performances from Kelly Clarkson, who will be kicking off the first broadcast of the day, and Snoop Dogg in Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party during halftime at the Lions vs. Vikings matchup.

Here’s everything to know about how to watch the NFL games on Christmas Day 2025.

Next up at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the Detroit Lions are taking on the Minnesota Vikings, who were eliminated from playoff contention in week 15.

Capping off a day of games are the Denver Broncos playing the Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in the primetime slot.

After a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 14, the reigning AFC champs were eliminated, marking the first time in Patrick Mahomes’ impressive career with the Chiefs that they would not be appearing in postseason games. Late in the game against the Chargers, the QB suffered a torn ACL, ending his season. He underwent surgery the following day.

Unlike Thanksgiving football games, which technically predates the NFL itself to 1920 and are a yearly tradition, annual football games on Christmas are relatively new. In comparison, the NFL only began consistently scheduling at least one Christmas Day game in 2020.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed during a 2025 interview on The Pat McAfee Show that “I think we will clearly have three games every year, adding “a lot of teams now want to play on Christmas, ‘cause it’s a great platform.”

The Kansas City Chiefs had previously expressed interest in becoming a Christmas Day mainstay player, like the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys are on Thanksgiving, but Goodell shared “I don’t think we’ll do that, I think we’ll continue to rotate them.”

Continuing the tradition which began in 2024, each of the six teams playing in the 2025 Christmas Day games will sport a holiday-inspired jersey patch during their week 16 and Christmas Day games.

The design, featuring two candy canes crossed behind the NFL shield with a 2025 underneath, was revealed on Dec. 10
