Niall Horan is opening up about which One Direction songs deserved more love

During an interview with NME on Friday, March 27, the "Heaven" musician was asked about which of the boy band's songs were "underrated"— and he had a few in mind.

"I think Steal My Girl is, just got to say it, it's underrated. Hot take, hot take," Horan, 32, said of the lead single from One Direction's 2014 album Four.

He then quipped of the track, which reached No. 13 on Billboard's Hot 100, No. 17 on Billboard's Pop Airplay and No. 37 on Billboard's Adult Pop charts, "Imagine...if everyone asked me, 'What's your hot take?' and I was like, 'Well, I think 'Steal My Girl' should have been bigger.'"

But Horan still doubled down on "Steal My Girl."

"I think it was it was robbed of its day in the sun," he said, pointing out how cool it was Danny DeVito starred in the track's music video.

Horan then added that "Fool's Gold," another song from Four, was "underrated."

Earlier this month, the "Nice to Meet Ya" performer announced his next LP Dinner Party.

In February, Horan shared in an Instagram carousel that his new album was "done."

After fans asked for a teaser in the comments, he then shared an Instagram Reel to his Stories, which captured him sitting on a sofa and harmonizing as he played an acoustic guitar.

Horan's previous solo albums include Flicker (2017), Heartbreak Weather (2020), and The Show (2023).

He also became a staple on The Voice as a coach in 2023, along with Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg.

Horan's new album Dinner Party is out June 5.
