- - Nickelodeon Co-Star Helps Homeless Tylor Chase Get off the Streets

Tylor Chase—the 36-year-old former child star who played the brainy Marty Qwerly in Nickelodeon's early-2000s Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide—was recently captured in viral videos, in which he was seen living on the streets of Riverside, California.

Chase appeared in all three seasons of the show, from 2004 to 2007, but in recent years, his life has taken a turn. While he went on to continue his creative career—posting poetry online about his bipolar disorder and self-publishing two fantasy novels under the pen name, Shrine Tylor—his struggles with mental health seemed to have taken over.

Riverside Police Department Public Information Officer Ryan Railsback reportedly confirmed that officers contact him weekly to offer support services. Despite their efforts to help, however, Chase has allegedly declined shelter, substance treatment, and mental health services.

His mother, Paula Moisio, has stood firmly against public fundraising after a GoFundMe raised $1,200 for Chase earlier this year.

"Tylor needs medical attention, not money, but he refuses it,” she wrote. "I appreciate your effort. But money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can't manage money for his meds by himself."

Nevertheless, the viral videos of Chase sparked emotional reactions from his former co-stars, like Daniel Curtis Lee, who portrayed Simon “Cookie” Nelson-Cook in the show.

“It was a lot to process for me," Lee reportedly said. "When I first saw it, I was angry, because I was like, why put a camera on someone's face in hard times? But then I was upset with myself because I [felt] powerless because there's not much that I felt I could do."

Lee ultimately found Chase on the streets and, after reuniting with him, he took him out to eat at a nearby pizza place. There, they also FaceTimed with another Ned’s Declassified co-star, Devon Werkheiser. The video shared on Lee's Instagram ended with Lee checking Chase into a hotel, where they chatted about the possibility of getting him into a rehabilitation facility.

"Tylor Chase and Cookie reunite with Ned on FaceTime," Lee shared on Instagram. "Well fed and safe from the rain. Hotel secured! One step closer to long-term treatment."

Now, Lee is calling on the public to help, as well.

"If anyone knows of a rehab or recovery facility willing to accept Tylor Chase on scholarship, please reach out," he shared in an Instagram post. "I’m also looking for guidance from a financial advisor on setting up a trust where funds are released only after successful completion of a program. We want to do this the right way—safe, structured, and supportive. Sending love to all the Ned’s fans who’ve reached out with kindness and support for him. It truly means a lot."
