Patrick Muldoon's friends and loved ones gathered over the weekend to say goodbye one last time.

The *Days of Our Lives *and *Melrose Place *star died of a heart attack on April 19. He was 57. Over the weekend, less than a month since the beloved actor's tragic passing, his friends, family, and famous peers came together in Santa Monica on Saturday to celebrate his life.

"Tough Day saying goodbye to my friend Pat Muldoon!!! He was my Teammate, My Brother, My Friend🙏🏾 miss you already brotha!!!" wrote Rodney Peete, Muldoon's teammate on the USC Trojans football team, in a touching post to his Instagram on Saturday. The post featured throwback pictures of Muldoon on the team, a full showing of his former teammates at the celebration of life, and a program for the ceremony.

According to the program shared by Peete, the ceremony honoring Muldoon took place at the St. Monica Catholic Church in the L.A. county coastal enclave. A memorial mass was held to celebrate Muldoon's life, followed by a reception attended by Peete, his and Muldoon's former teammates, actress Andrea Bendewald, and Sami Sheen, the daughter of Muldoon's ex and recent costar, Denise Richards.

Muldoon and Richards most recently appeared in the crime drama *Dirty Hands*, released on VOD just five days after his death. The pair dated throughout the 1990s after meeting on the set of *Starship Troopers*. Sheen, one of Richards' daughters with ex Charlie Sheen, shared a now-expired Instagram story featuring a photo of the program detailing Muldoon's celebration of life event.

"Miss u so much Patrick," she wrote in a caption over the photo (per PEOPLE).

Bendewald shared another page from the ceremony's program to her Instagram stories, which contained lyrics from the song "Become Everything." Muldoon recorded the song with his band, the Sleeping Masses, for their 2009 album of the same name.

"I hope you get what you came for, / and this isn't ending, and I'm not afraid," read some of the lyrics.

"Love You Muldoon/Zappa Family. Today We Celebrated An Extraordinary LIFE, [Patrick Muldoon] FAMILY & LEGACY," Bendewald wrote, tagging Muldoon's sister, Shana Muldoon Zappa.

Zappa shared Bendewald's post and several others capturing the celebration of Muldoon's life on her own Instagram stories on Saturday. The tributes included those by filmmaker Eva Mauro, beauty entrepreneur Nyakio Grieco, and Peete. Over Peete's post, Zappa wrote, "I know [Patrick Muldoon] is smiling and saying Fight On from Spirit. What a beautiful tribute from his Trojan teammates."

Richards did not post about Muldoon over the weekend, but did pay tribute in April after his passing. "This is so hard for me to put into words. I am deeply heartbroken & devastated losing you," she wrote on social media. "You were my best friend & my family. We met in our first acting class, I was 19 never had an acting job and you were 21 a student at USC doing a recurring role on who’s the boss. And here we are. 36 years later. My whole adult life & I don't know it without you."
