Penélope Cruz showed off her shortest haircut in years on June 13.
In photos shared by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, the Volver actress debuted a "boyfriend bob" haircut.
Cruz cut off her long hair for a collarbone-grazing lob in January.
Penélope Cruz continued to embrace her bob era as she debuted her shortest haircut in years on June 13. In photos shared by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides actress showed off a shoulder-grazing new chop in Los Angeles.

"Boyfriend Bob for stunning @penelopecruzoficial," Giannetos wrote, sharing a photo of the Spanish star with her honey blonde-highlighted brown hair freshly cut right above her shoulders. Cruz wore her long bangs swept to the side and with her newly chopped locks slightly styled towards her face, framing her glowing summer glam. The Volver star accentuated her features with a dark purple smoky eyeshadow, and an iridescent mauve flush on her cheekbones and lips.

Giannetos revealed he'd cut Cruz's hair that morning in Los Angeles, drawing inspiration from her multi-colored fuschia pink, purple, and navy blue Chanel tweed jacket. She wore her jacket open, showing off its textured trim and a plain white shirt underneath. The celebrity hairstylist said he went with an "effortless and relaxed" aesthetic, calling it "the way your hair looks like the day after you got it done, just tussled and flipped on the side without using any brush."

The Vicky Cristina Barcelona actress added some shine with gold Chanel logo buttons on her jacket, star-inspired gold stud earrings, and layered gold pendant necklaces featuring a heart and star design.
Cruz chopped her signature long dark brown into a voluminous lob at the Chanel Haute Couture show at Paris Fashion Week on January 27. Since then, the star has brightened up her hair color for spring and summer, adding chunky blonde highlights to her chocolate brown color.
Cruz's latest haircut is her shortest since she showed off a chin-grazing bob at the 2024 Met Gala. The actress, who'd been sporting a lob earlier that year, went even shorter with a retro-inspired hairstyle for the evening's "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" theme. However, by September that year, Cruz was back to her chest-grazing locks as she stepped out for a rare PDA-packed date night with husband Javier Bardem at the 2024 San Sebastian International Film Festival.
