Detroit — The NBA announced Wednesday morning the complete schedule for the Emirates NBA Cup 2026 Group Play. All Group Play games will take place every Friday from Oct. 30 – Nov. 27, as well as on Tuesday, Nov. 24, and Wednesday, Nov. 25.
The groups were selected based on the conference's win-loss record from the 2025-26 campaign. The Detroit Pistons finished last season with the top overall seed in the Eastern Conference with a 60-22 record. They will lead East Group A and will compete against the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors.
The Pistons will kick off the Emirates NBA Cup on Oct. 30 with a game against the Nets at Barclays Center. They will then compete against the Raptors at Little Caesars Arena on Nov. 20. The game against the Raptors will be the Pistons' only Emirates Cup contest to be aired on Amazon Prime.
The following week, the Pistons will close their Group Play schedule against the Magic at Kia Center and host the Bucks on Nov. 24 and Nov. 27, respectively.
Following Group Play, the top eight teams — four from each conference — will compete in single-elimination rounds during the quarterfinals and semifinals. The quarterfinals will occur on Dec. 4 and 5. The semifinals are scheduled for Dec. 9 and 10.

The final two teams — one from each conference — will compete in the Emirates NBA Cup championship on Dec. 11. Unlike the previous three years, the championship game will be held at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the iconic home of Butler University.
Last season, the Pistons went 2-2 in Group Play and failed to advance to the knockout rounds for the third consecutive year. The Magic won Detroit's group with a 4-0 record.
The New York Knicks won last season's Emirates Cup amid a 124-113 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in December. In June, the Knicks made history as the first team to win both the Emirates NBA Cup and the NBA title in the same season.
