“Sarah is keeping a low profile,” the friend told People on July 23. “She’s staying in contact with her daughters and is awaiting the news of Eugenie’s baby.”
Ferguson, 66, shares her daughters—Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice—with her ex-husband, ex-Prince Andrew (Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor).
She has not been seen publicly since April, when she was spotted at a luxury ski resort in Austria. In photos obtained by The Sun, she maintained her low profile in a white hat, a navy jacket with matching leggings, and black sneakers.

Before that sighting, she and Andrew attended the funeral of Katharine, Duchess of Kent, at Westminster Cathedral in London on September 16, 2025.

According to People, Ferguson is currently believed to be abroad and has not returned to the U.K. She has largely stayed out of the public eye amid the controversy surrounding her ex-husband and his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew had his royal title stripped last October. He was later arrested on his 66th birthday in February and released 11 hours later. His arrest came after he was accused of misconduct in public office, after he allegedly “shared confidential information with the late Jeffrey Epstein while acting as a trade envoy for the U.K.,” per People. Ferguson, meanwhile, has not been accused of any wrongdoing, though U.S. Rep. Suhas Subramanyam formally requested that Ferguson testify regarding her “close personal and business ties,” according to a report from BBC.
Eugenie and Beatrice are also staying out of the spotlight. Amid the ongoing controversy, The Telegraph previously reported that the sisters are “not expected to attend high-profile events with the royal family for the foreseeable future.”

They were notably absent from this year’s Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 13. Instead, the siblings were guests at a wedding in Austria, per the Austrian outlet Kronen Zeitung. The wedding was reportedly held for a member of the aristocratic Schwarzenberg family.
