This is real; this is them — then and now.

Monday, Aug. 11 brought a blast from the past as Demi Lovato, the Jonas Brothers and more cast members from the hit musical film Camp Rock showed up at the premiere of the third installment, Camp Rock 3. Lovato and the Jonases all signed on as executive producers for the new movie (out Aug. 14 on Disney+), and fans will also see them reprise their roles as Mitchie Torres and the members of Connect 3 in the revival. Also returning is Maria Canals-Barrera, who plays Mitchie’s mom Connie.

Camp Rock 3 sees Connect 3 come back to the summer camp in search of a last-minute opening act for their tour. A new generation of aspiring musicians, played by Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Liamani Segura and more, join the iconic universe for the long-awaited sequel.

Ahead, see photos of the Camp Rock cast members at the first film’s 2008 premiere and the 2026 premiere of the latest addition to the franchise.

Demi Lovato led Camp Rock and Camp Rock: The Final Jam as Mitchie Torres, the daughter of the music camp’s chef (Canals-Barrera). Her duet with Joe Jonas in the first movie, “This Is Me,” peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, and she would be no stranger to the charts in the coming years. After her stint on Disney Channel, Lovato launched a successful career as a pop star, earning three more top 10 hits with “Skyscraper,” “Heart Attack” and “Sorry Not Sorry.” With her 2015 album Confident, she received a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album, her first-ever nod.

She makes a cameo as Mitchie in Camp Rock 3, a secret she said was “hard” to keep.

“People have been asking, ‘Are you a part of it?’ And I’ve been having to say, ‘Well, I’m an executive producer, and you’ll just have to wait and see,’ “ the singer told PEOPLE.
