"Stranger Things" is diving back into the darkness for its final chapter.
The hit Netflix series will return for Season 5 in a few weeks but, coinciding with the premiere in Los Angeles, the streaming platform has released a five-minute preview.
The first episode, dubbed "The Crawl," sees a young Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) back where everything started, trapped in the Upside Down forest. He's shivering in a makeshift fort, singing The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go" for comfort, when a crack in the distance jolts him up.
A shadow looms before the terrifying Demogorgon prepares to attack, leaving it up to Will to defend himself and attempt to flee. But the Demogorgon catches up, dragging Will into the decaying lair of Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), looking as menacing as ever.
"At long last, we can begin," the villain says, Will wrapped in his vines. Vecna attaches one of the vines to Will's mouth, overriding his willpower and possessing him.

Venca then runs his claws over Will's face, telling the child as his eyes roll back and he gasps for air, "You and I, we're going to do such beautiful things together, William. Such beautiful things."
'Stranger Things' series finale heads to movie theaters
'Stranger Things' Season 5 release date
The final season of "Stranger Things," one of the biggest shows in Netflix's history, will begin rolling out in November after a more than three-year wait. The episodes will be released in three volumes around three different holidays.
The first part of the finale chapter drops Nov. 26 with four episodes. The second volume of episodes will drop on Christmas Day, Dec. 25. The series finale will drop on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, on Netflix and in over 350 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, through New Year's Day, Jan. 1.
Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer said in a statement that they are "beyond excited that fans will have the chance to experience the final episode of 'Stranger Things' in theaters," noting this is "something we've dreamed about for years."
