"Like any great love, it keeps you guessing."
If there's one thing Taylor Swift has been keeping people guessing about regarding her love story with Travis Kelce, it's the details of their wedding. It's widely believed the couple is going to marry in early summer this year, lining up with Kelce's NFL offseason. However, without confirmation, the wedding date and location continue to be a mystery, with popular online theories including June 13 in Rhode Island and July 3 in New York City.
With so many "leaks" about the highest profile wedding of the season, gossip sites are starting to wonder if the mastermind singer is intentionally keeping fans guessing.
"With so many supposed details leaking online, we're beginning to think some of the information circulating may actually be intentional," celebrity gossip site deuxmoi captioned a new Instagram post. "At this point, it wouldn't be surprising if certain details were being floated around as decoys or even as a way to figure out who's talking."
This would not be the first time Swift has intentionally misdirected fans. In 2024, Swifties picked up on Easter eggs that "The Tortured Poets Department" would be a double album release, such as Swift holding up a peace sign, or two fingers, when announcing the album at the Grammys. On release day, however, the singer originally released just one album, writing on Instagram "this period of the author's life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up" – just to release 15 more songs on "The Anthology" two hours later, when fans had just stopped suspecting it.
More recently, a 48-hour countdown appeared and quickly disappeared from Taylor Swift's website. Behind the timer was a picture of the singer against a sky blue, cloud-filled backdrop, leading many fans to believe she would announce a new song for "Toy Story 5." However, when the countdown expired at 2 p.m. on May 2, no announcement was made.
Page Six says Taylor Swift will marry July 3 in NYC
Taylor Swift attends the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards at Dolby Theatre on March 26, 2026 in Hollywood, California.
According to a Page Six exclusive from April 9, save-the-dates for the TnT wedding have been sent out, and the wedding is set for July 3, 2026 in New York City. Neither Swift nor Kelce have confirmed this most recent round of rumors.
However, the date would make sense for Swift, whose favorite holiday is famously the Fourth of July. If Swift did host her wedding over Independence Day weekend, her nuptials would join a long list of star-studded parties she has hosted for the holiday. In the past, all her 4th of July parties have been in Rhode Island.

The date also lines up with Kelce's football schedule, as NFL training camp typically begins in late July, leading many fans to believe Kelce and Swift will marry sometime during early summer in 2026.
Additionally, Travis Kelce has previously implied he is a fan of summer weddings. During a January 2025 episode of "New Heights," the Kelce brothers answered a fan's question about their opinions on fall weddings, which conflict with football season.
"I'm not sure if the fall is a good wedding season. Don't make my friends have to not go," Travis Kelce said. "I actually don't know people who have gotten married in the fall. All my friends always do it in the summer."
When did Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announce their engagement?
On Aug. 26 2025, Swift announced her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on Instagram.
"Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married," the superstar captioned a series of photos of the newly engaged couple in a rose garden, reportedly in the backyard of Kelce's Kansas City home.
Swift began dating Kelce in 2023, after the football player attended the Eras Tour concert in Kansas City on July 8 that year. Kelce afterwards admitted on a "New Heights" podcast episode that he wanted to gift Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but he failed to meet her at the concert.
After months of speculation, Swift made their relationship official by appearing at the Chiefs game on Sept. 24, 2023, during which she sat with his mom, Donna Kelce. The pair have been steadily dating since then, with Swift attending various Chiefs games and Kelce attending various concerts during The Eras Tour.
