Taylor Swift’s Tour Dancer Jan Ravnik Reveals He’s a Homeowner 10 Years After Moving to the U.S. in Emotional Post

Jan Ravnik shared his excitement about becoming a homeowner after moving to the U.S. with just $1,200 ten years ago

The Dancing with the Stars pro reflected on the sacrifices and challenges he faced to achieve this milestone

Ravnik was also a backup dancer on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and appeared in several of her music videos

Jan Ravnik is reflecting on becoming a homeowner less than ten years after moving to the U.S.

The Dancing with the Stars pro, 31, shared his milestone achievement in an Instagram post on Thursday, Sept. 24, alongside photos of his new home.

“Today I can proudly say… I’M A HOMEOWNER. 🏡❤️🎊,” he began in the caption. Ravnik, who is originally from Slovenia, continued his emotional message by revealing why the accomplishment is especially meaningful for him.

“Less than 10 years ago, I moved to this country with $1,200 in my bank account, kept my head down, worked my ass off, and honestly just wanted to prove that I was good enough to stay in this country and in this industry,” he explained. “Now I’m a resident AND a homeowner!!!!!! Like WHAT!?!!!?!!”

Ravnik — who first announced he was joining DWTS as a season 34 pro back in August 2025 — continued his message by noting that while his hard work has certainly paid off, it didn’t come without its challenges.

“So many sacrifices, so many ups and downs, and somehow we made it here,” he concluded the caption.

Included in his post is a shot of him sitting on top of the fireplace at his new home with a big smile on his face as he opens his arms out wide. Two wall sconces can be seen on both sides of the fireplace, while the ceiling molding peeks out above him.

The next slide shows a room with arched walkways and tiled floors, followed by a photo of a teary-eyed Ravnik holding up the keys to his new home.

Ravnik was a backup dancer for Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour from March 2023 to December 2024. He also appeared in a few music videos for the 14-time Grammy winner, including “The Fate of Ophelia,” “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” and “Karma.”

After attending Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in July, Ravnik teased to PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that while he couldn’t “share a lot” about the buzzy event, it was a “great night.”

The performer first revealed he would be taking part in Swift’s Eras Tour in a social media post back in March 2023.

“I’m beyond grateful to be part of @taylorswift Eras Tour 🙏🏼❤️ Still can’t put into words how I feel after yesterdays opening night!” he captioned a post on Instagram at the time. “I never thought that small town boy from Slovenia could come so far, but here we are 🙋🏻‍♂️🥹#erastour.”
