The Ultimatum stars Madlyn Ballatori and Colby Kissinger share sweet memories on social media to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary

The couple appeared on the first season of the Netflix hit series in 2022

Since then, they have become mom and dad to three children

Madlyn Ballatori and Colby Kissinger are still going strong!

The pair celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on Wednesday, May 13. In a candid post to social media, the mother of three reflected on her relationship with her spouse after the couple appeared on season 1 of Netflix's The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On in 2022.

“[Five] years later and it’s just hard to believe that our marriage started the way it did,” she captioned an Instagram carousel.

Her post began with her and Kissinger sharing a passionate hug moments after he proposed. There were also several images of them laughing together over drinks.

“We had no business getting married when/how we did,” Ballatori continued. “So many times over the past five years we’ve come to standstills and thought ‘and this is something we should have talked about before getting married’ and it hasn’t always been easy, but from what I’ve heard time and time again- it never is.”

“I thank God for giving us to one another, seeing us through each standstill and every moment in between, giving us our SOON TO BE 4 beautiful children and truly using our marriage to save us in so many ways,” she said. “The idiots you saw on Netflix did not do it alone.”

The Ultimatum, hosted by Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey, puts relationships to the test by having them live with other potential matches to decide if the relationship is worth fighting for.

In her post, Ballatori thanked Kissinger for his positivity, love and patience.

“Thank you for your commitment to our family and your ability to see something- choose it- and see it through. IM SO PROUD TO BE YOUR WIFE,” she concluded.

Ahead of their wedding anniversary, Ballatori shared another special tribute to her husband online.

“Happy birthday and happy early 5 year anniversary(3 more days) to this man of mine!!!!” she captioned an Instagram post on Sunday, May 10. “There’s truly nobody like you Colby. I’m so thankful you’re mine. Cheers to many more, forever together.”

The couple welcomed their first baby together, daughter Josephine "Josie" Riley Kissinger, on May 2, 2022.

"We could not be more in love. God is so good," Ballatori announced via Instagram at the time, including a video of her cuddling with her newborn daughter. "Big thanks to the incredible team of doctors and nurses who helped us throughout our stay. We are so thankful to be home together as a family now."

Since then, they have also become parents to son Conrad, who was born in September 2023, and another baby boy who arrived in April 2025.
