On her Just Trish podcast, Trisha Paytas shared some behind-the-scenes details about her cameo in the most recent episode of Euphoria, which aired on Sunday, May 10

The online personality appeared in a scene where she was interviewing Sydney Sweeney's character, Cassie, who dropped some controversial hot takes that left Paytas speechless — literally, since Paytas says her performance was all improvised

Despite the lack of a script, Paytas said she tried to bring her best to each line, a tip she gleaned from the late Suzanne Somers' brief yet memorable scene in the 1973 film American Graffiti

Trisha Paytas is peeling back the curtain on her recent cameo in Euphoria.

During her Just Trish podcast, the online personality discussed her appearance on the hit HBO series, which is currently in its third season. In the episode — which aired on Sunday, May 10 — Paytas, 38, played one of a few podcast hosts interviewing Sydney Sweeney's character Cassie. Their on-screen conversation touched on a few controversial topics, which Cassie addressed with bold, unapologetic candor that left Paytas speechless.

Speaking on the latest episode of Just Trish, she emphasized the fact that her reaction to Cassie's words was completely real and unscripted. She said she "panicked" when her fictional podcast guest started saying such shocking things.

"The real Trish set in, and I was like, ‘What do I do?' None of my agents are there from CAA, because it's like midnight by the time we're shooting this scene," Paytas recalled. "You want to just be professional so you like just keep it going. And no one's really giving real direction. No one's really saying anything. Everyone's just like letting this happen as if it's a real podcast."

While she now knows Sweeney, 28, was working with a script, Paytas said she was simply told, "You're just going to interview Cassie," hence why her performance was "all improv."

Despite her lack of lines and direction, the Beetlejuice Broadway performer said she did make an effort to bring her best performance, even if she ended up having just a small window of screen time. In fact, Paytas said she tapped into the wisdom of Suzanne Somers, who died at age 76 in October 2023.

The podcaster explained Somers had one line in the 1973 film American Graffiti, and the film didn't even end up including the audio of her saying it. The late actress was seen simply mouthing the words "I love you."

"But she was the most memorable from that. She was like, ‘I was the blonde in the Thunderbird,' for like the rest of the '70s," said Paytas, referring to the Ford Thunderbird car Somers drove in the film.

Paytas added, "So I remember: even if you get one line, make it count. So every line, I was really trying to deliver."
