Netflix is venturing back into toxic territory with a second season of *Beef*, Lee Sun Jin's sharp-edged anthology series.
Season 1 was a full-on sensation, powered by Steven Yeun and Ali Wong's performances as Danny and Amy, two strangers whose petty clash on the road snowballs into a vicious feud. It cleaned up on the awards circuit, winning eight Emmys and three Golden Globes.
For season 2, *Beef *is starting from scratch with a new cast and a story about two couples at odds. Ahead of its release, here's everything to know about *Beef *season 2.

Oscar Isaac as Josh Martin and Carey Mulligan as Lindsay Crane-Martin in 'Beef' season 2.
Per the official synopsis, *Beef *season 2 tracks a messy, high-stakes chain reaction at a country club after newly-engaged Gen Z couple Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin Davis (Charles Melton) witness "an alarming fight between their millennial boss and his wife."
The boss and his wife are played by a pair of heavy hitters in Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, and the dissolution of their marriage begins to drag everyone around them into chaos.
"Through favors and coercion," the synopsis reads, "both couples vie for the approval of the elitist club's billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung), who struggles to manage her own scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim (Song Kang-ho)."
Spaeny previously teased the upcoming season to * *at Comic-Con 2024, describing it as "bats--t" and "fun."
Is there a *Beef *season 2 trailer?
The official trailer for *Beef *season 2 dropped on April 2. It kicks off with Ashley and Lindsay sitting on a curb, drinks in hand, casually sinking into something much deeper than small talk.
"Are you and Josh happily married?" Ashley asks. Lindsay replies, "I think, deep down, we both knew it was a temporary Band-Aid."
From there, we see Ashley and Austin sharing a kiss, a sweet moment that's immediately undercut as we jump to Lindsay and Josh mid-argument, their fight escalating as they smash things around the house.

"Band-Aid for what?” Ashley asks, the scene cutting to a shot of Austin feeding her a bite of food. She doesn't look fully happy — there's a flicker of doubt on her face, like she's already questioning if they're going to last.
Lindsay adds, "For the immense pain of knowing that you picked the wrong person."
The tension only intensifies as we return to Lindsay and Josh's fight, now unfolding in full view of Ashley and Austin. Ashley pulls out her phone to record just as it looks like Josh is about to swing a golf club at Lindsay. They glance out the window and realize Ashley and Austin are staring right back at them, sending the young couple running.
As the trailer winds down, Ashley reflects, "Don't people say you shouldn't be looking for the right person, but actually, the right *wrong *person?"
