KATSEYE, a HYBE x Geffen Records girl group whose 2023 formation was documented on Netflix's Pop Star Academy, is once again sharing their journey with fans on screen.
"KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS" follows the two-time Grammy-nominated global pop group on their "captivating journey into the group's bold new era while celebrating the fans who helped make it possible." It features never-before-seen footage, EYEKONS fan videos, and intimate interviews from the group members, according to the film's synopsis.
KATSEYE has taken over social media multiple times with hit songs like "Gnarly" and "Gabriela," their iconic "Milkshake" GAP advertisement, which currently has over 78 million views, and the ambiguous hiatus of one of its popular members, Manon Bannerman.
KATSEYE also recently announced its newest EP, "WILD EP," slated for release Aug. 14, as well as the "Wildworld' tour, set to kick off Sept. 1.

Will Manon be in the new KATSEYE movie?
Member Lara Raj confirmed to Entertainment Tonight Aug. 4 at the KATSEYE 'Wild Hearts' movie premiere that Manon Bannerman will be featured in the movie.
"She will forever be such an integral part of the journey of KATSEYE, and of course she's included in the film," Raj said. "It's so lovely, and we're so happy to see it. The fans, I think, will be so excited to see it."
Member Sophia Laforteza was also notably absent from the premiere. Raj told Entertainment Tonight that although Laforteza is out sick, she sends her love, wishes she could've been there, and says 'hi.'

Why is Manon taking a break from KATSEYE?
In a statement posted to X on Feb. 20, KATSEYE said that Bannerman would be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to "focus on her health and wellbeing."
Since then, Bannerman has intermittently released statements updating fans on Weverse, initially sharing she was "healthy" and "okay" when news of her hiatus broke.
However, she liked a post suggesting her hiatus from the group was due to online racism and alleged mistreatment by her label. She has not directly addressed these allegations and has since removed her like on the post.
On April 2, Bannerman released another statement thanking fans amid growing speculation about her future within the group.
"Thank you so much for all the love and support you've been sending my way," Bannerman wrote. "I'm really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time. HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I'm happy and I'm healthy. I'll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me."
When will Manon return to KATSEYE?
No timeline has been given for her return.
In its statement, the other members wrote they were "looking forward to being together again when the time is right."
How did KATSEYE form?
The girl group KATSEYE was formed during the 2023 reality competition series Dream Academy, a collaboration between Hybe and Geffen Records.
The series, later chronicled by Netflix in 2024, followed 20 aspiring pop stars as they underwent a K-pop training program. The candidates competed for a spot in the group, which was KATSEYE.
After each mission, fans were encouraged to vote on Weverse and like their favorite contestants' fancams on YouTube. The final six members were chosen through fan voting and expert selection.
