Wazzup!
The Wayans are back with a sneak peek at the family’s latest “Scary Movie” installment, giving viewers a look at the parody film that uses horror genre staples to poke fun at anything and everything.
The filmmakers shared the trailer on Monday, March 2.
“We're baaaaaack,” said the "Scary Movie" Instagram account in a caption with a post of the trailer. The film comes out on June 12, per the post.
In addition to producer Marlon Wayans returning, the film also stars actors who haven't been in the franchise in 20 years, including his brother, Shawn Wayans.

Based on the trailer, the newest scary movie parody tackles political correctness and woke culture while parodying popular horror films such as “Friday the 13th,” “M3GAN,” “Scream,” “Terrifier,” and “Smile,” and the multiple award-winning Ryan Coogler film “Sinners.”
In the trailer's opening, a killer stabs a book ban protester on a train. As a bystander yells out “He stabbed her,” the victim turns to the woman and yells, “Not her! My pronouns are they/them. He stabbed them."
The trailer ends with the words "Every line will be crossed."

The upcoming film was written by Wayans brothers Marlon, Shawn, Keenen Ivory Wayans, their nephew Craig Wayans, and producer Rick Alvarez, who worked on "Scary Movie 2" and other Wayans productions, Paramount Pictures said on its press site.

Marlon Wayans, who is listed as a writer and producer on the film, told Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview that the producers are trying to bring back laughter.”
"This is about bringing back comedy the way it used to be,” he told the outlet. “And I think the only way to do it is you have to cancel the cancel culture."
He added that the filmmakers are “equal opportunity offenders," and nothing is off limits.
"We have a recipe, we have a formula that you can't mimic or copy,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “You could try, but it's very specific. It's how we grew up, and it's how we see the world. It's the household we were raised in with the sense of humor that we all were governed with, that we inherited from our mother."
